WOMEN INSPIRING WOMEN: CLOSING OUT FIVE MAGICAL YEARS OF CONNECTION
Wow. Just wow. I am still floating on cloud nine after the final Women Inspiring Women event. What started as 24 women gathered in my backyard back in 2021 blossomed into a 100+ woman celebration of connection, community, and support. Five years later, this legacy has wrapped up in the most beautiful way—and I’m still buzzing from the magic of it all. ✨
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The very first WIW happened in September 2021, right in my backyard. It was a strange and heavy time—six days before the event, my dad passed away. I nearly called it off, but something in me knew I had to follow through. I had promised those 24 women a night of connection, and even in my deepest grief, I felt called to show up. That night became the foundation for everything WIW would grow into: a space rooted in intention, community, and love.

GROWING YEAR AFTER YEAR
From 24 women, the event doubled in 2022, expanded to 75 women in 2023, and then reached over 100 women in both 2024 and 2025. Each year the backyard filled with laughter, new connections, and those goosebump-worthy moments that make you realize you’re part of something bigger. My favourite part? Asking the room, “Who’s here for the very first time?” and seeing at least half the hands go up. Every single year. That reminder—that women are craving spaces like this—still gives me chills.

THE MAGIC OF SHOWING UP
Here’s the truth: the power of WIW was never about numbers. It was about connection. Whether you came looking for new business opportunities, friendships, or simply inspiration, WIW was proof that showing up opens doors. So many women came alone, nervous, not knowing anyone—and walked away with collaborations, friendships, or that one conversation that shifted something inside them.
Because the truth is, we all need it. We all need connection. And sometimes the bravest thing we can do is walk into a room full of strangers and say yes to possibility.
HEART, INTENTION, AND IMPACT
Every WIW was created with heart. From custom candles and champagne walls, to raffles that raised thousands for CAMH and the USANA Foundation in honour of my dad and brother, every detail was designed to make women feel special while giving back to causes that matter. In 2024, we raised $5,000 in one night. This year, we topped that at $5,400—and with a little extra from us personally, we’ll hit $6,000. That ripple effect of generosity is something I’ll carry with me forever.

LESSONS FROM 5 YEARS OF WIW
As I close out this chapter, I want to leave you with a few reminders WIW has taught me:
Anything you dream of is possible. Start small, take the action, and trust that the magic will come.
Put yourself in the rooms. Go to events, meet new people, surround yourself with women who have the energy you want to attract.
Connection is everything. Business, friendship, growth—it all starts with showing up and being open.
GRATITUDE BEYOND WORDS
I can’t even put into words how grateful I am—for every woman who attended, every partner and sponsor who believed in the vision, and every friend who supported me through the highs and lows of pulling this together year after year. From the backyard setup to the last raffle ticket sold, none of this would have been possible without community.
As I close out the WIW legacy, my heart is so full. What started as a small idea in a hard season turned into a movement that touched more women than I could have ever imagined. And even though this was the final WIW, the connections, inspiration, and love we’ve built will carry forward.
