What a year. Like a total dumpster fire of a year (for the most part). Sadly the painful parts of the year outweigh the shiny parts of the year. Normally you can rise up and not only see the big picture but also appreciate the highs and lows that are always full of lessons. This year was different.

For the last few years I’ve kept lists of all the books I read in the year - part to keep track of so many goodies but also to inspire myself to read more year-after-year.

It’s also no secret that Matt is the cook in our house and I am the official wine pourer - a job I take VERY seriously I might add!
We jumped at the opportunity to partner with one of our favourite local wineries Rosewood Estates Winery - pairing some of their exceptional wines with some exceptional dishes created by Biceps and Brussel Sprouts.
COOKING + SIPPING WITH ROSEWOOD WINERY
This dish is one that Matt has created a few times and it is FANTASTIC!
We paired it with Rosewood’s Riesling AF wine and oh my goodness the flavours just blended beautifully. The wine was delightful on its own but WOW, what an Up Level once paired with dinner.
DOG FRIENDLY NIAGARA WINERIES
This past Spring and Summer, we really got into doing ‘family adventure days’ with our pups, Molly + Sadie. We’re obviously biased with their cuteness and manners in public but oh my goodness, do they ever love winery field trips just as much as their mom!

TRAVEL GUIDE: MONTREAL
I have been visiting Montreal for years, and can honestly say that I fall more in love with the city each time I visit. Perhaps I love Montreal more since our Paris engagement - soaking up all of the love and old-world charm that’s in the city.
ROSÉ SEASON
It’s officially SUMMER which means rosé on repeat in our house! Anyone else?
I typically opt for light, dry rosés as I find they are just so lovely to sip (and easy, let’s be honest) and they also pair so effortlessly with food
